Tips:
If you feel a cold or flu coming on: Zinc; it strengthens your immune system. I prefer Zicam
it is a nasal gel and is absorbed into your system very quickly. You can get it at any drug store, Target and even Sam's
Club. Cost is $7-$9 a bottle.
Echinacea, Goldenseal, Astragalus & Elderberry; Follow directions on
lable.
"Traditional Medicinals" offers some great herb teas. One is a Echinacea & Elderberry blend.
These teas can be found in most health food stores.
Cold Sores: L-Lysine; Take 1,000mg as soon as
you feel the first tingle. Take twice a day for 5 days then cut back to once a day for another 5 days. If taken soon enough
it will prevent cold sore completely and only needs to be taken for 2 days. Putting ice on the area where you feel the
cold sore coming on can also help slow down the process. Hold the ice there for about 15 minutes. This usually keeps the
sore from getting any worse. Lavender essential oil and/or Echinacea tincture can be applied to the sore to assist with
the healing process.
